Deception: A Sign of the Times and a Reason to Praise; Really

When He was asked about the signs for the end of the age, Jesus said, "Watch out that you are not deceived." He warned against being deceived five times in Matthew 24. So, we may conclude that deception is one of the signs. I don't know about you, but as an American citizen I'm still, over a year later, stunned by the level of corruption and deceit uncovered in our government, and it just keeps coming.

Not that anyone who could stop it cares to do anything about it.

But at least I know there are more people like me out there -like you- who knew masks were mostly useless, lockdowns were a socialist idea, Trump really won and Biden is part of some global mafia...thing. In other words, people who were not deceived.

I discovered some of these like-minded people while I was getting punished by Facebook for thinking.

People like Brandon Tatum, Candace Owens and Lance Wallnau. I listened to Ben Shapiro  recently and he like many others seem frustrated. The evidence for truth in race issues, energy issues, immigration issues, voting fraud issues, actual covid "science" and dealings in the Middle East are obvious. But the biggest truth is, truth doesn't matter.

I've said that before on this blog somewhere, and now I heard Shapiro say it and more are joining in. We fight so hard for the truth. (Believe me, I know this; I live in Michigan after all, where judges and legislators ignore truth and the Governor and her cronies get to evade it.) And we think the truth will matter. When it doesn't we get angry. Discouraged. We wonder, "What's the use?"

But that is the exact time to stand. "When you have done all stand." (Ephesians 6:13)

The question is have we done all?  Have we repented from:

    • taking things God gave us for granted?
    • not doing things He told you to do?
    • willful sins?
    • immoral lifestyle?
    • spiritually drifting?
    • being spiritually dull?

This isn't the time to give up. It is time to take our place and continue in the battle. The battle is waged by binding satan's works of division, deception and wickedness over this country. Every morning. Every day. In our town. In our state. Among our family. The battle is not against people. It is against demonic powers in high places. Here in America, it may seem like we are under the influence of an unseen enemy because we are.

But we don't stop because we are the ones who hold satan back from having his way. God has provided a table for us in the presence of our enemies, so when we are surrounded, it doesn't matter. We stand. We don't stop because some victories are gradual. Some are immediate. But there is victory.

Consider California. No, not the governor. The tent meetings. There is a revival happening in California.

    It is time to PRAISE.

Something good is happening in America, and more is coming. We have a reason to praise our faithful God. How long have Christians been praying for a revival? Well it is here. Some, like David and Tim Barton, are saying we will see a Third Great Awakening. Like the song, I can only imagine that right now in Michigan.

    BUT–

I'm standing on God's promises. I'm praising God. How about you?
